Recognition as a Teacher in Higher Education - Individual Route
Domain: B3 Professional and career development

It is possible for those who teach, support learning, or who otherwise contribute to the student learning experience, to apply to the Higher Education Academy for recognition as Associate Fellow against the ‘UK Professional Standards Framework for Teaching and Supporting Learning in Higher Education’. The aim of this three-hour session is to support those who wish to apply for recognition. We will look at the elements of the Standards and discuss the process involved in the application and recognition process.

By the end of the session participants should be confident about submitting for recognition.

Please sign up for this workshop if you meet the following criteria:

- You have substantial teaching/demonstrating experience (two years or more).

- You have attended some training workshops on teaching that were arranged by the University Graduate College.

More information about the Recognition Support Scheme can be found by clicking here.

NOTE: Following a review of the scheme, from May 2016 applicants will no longer be paired with mentors. The UGC recognition workshop will still continue to run, which shall include time to start the application process.
