This workshop will provide you with a hands-on opportunity to familiarise yourselves with the range of company and industry tools available at Cardiff University and use these tools to research a company or industry of your choice.

You will encounter a wide range of company, market research and newspaper databases which you will utilise to create an outline company or industry profile based upon that research.

This workshop will be of benefit to you if you are preparing for interviews or investigating a particular industry in which you may want to work.

On completion of this course, you will be able to:
* identify the appropriate tool for your research
* find background information on a company
* search for companies and industry information by geographic area
* find industry related information using market research reports
* identify relevant trade press sources and find company and industry information using those trade press sources
