SPSS: Intermediate - Comparing groups
Domain: A1 Knowledge base

TACE: A - Acquisition

Format: Workshop, IT
Suitable for: All

This computer-based workshop is designed to make you proficient in understanding and carrying out statistical techniques to compare groups using IBM SPSS. There will be some review of preliminary analyses, such as descriptive statistics, and using graphs to describe and explore the data. However, it is imperative that you have a basic grasp of these issues before attending. This course will cover:
• T-tests;
• One-way between-groups analyses of variance (ANOVA);
• Two-way between-groups analyses of variance (ANOVA);
• Mixed between-within subjects analyses of variance (ANOVA).

NB: The course is aimed at students wanting to learn how to compare groups. It will be particularly useful for psychologist and social scientists who often have to deal with categorical data, but researchers from other disciplines are also welcome to attend.
