Format: Talk/Experiential
Suitable for: Late

This entertaining event, followed by a Q&A session aims to demystify the PhD viva by providing a role-play conducted by a group of academic staff. Taking on the roles of Chair, Internal Examiner, External Examiner and doctoral candidate, the team running the mock viva will make you:

* Familiar with the format of a typical PhD viva
* Aware of the types of question that might be asked and how to prepare yourself
* Have an understanding of the process leading up to and immediately after a viva takes place

Mock Viva (Sciences) is also available

Note: The processes involved in a viva are covered in both mock viva events. Therefore, anyone unable to attend the event relevant to their discipline is welcome to attend the alternative offering.

If you are unable to attend our live session, you can watch our May 2018 offering here.
