EndNote: Further Techniques for Managing your References
Domain: A1 Knowledge base

Format of workshop: Information and Practical
Suitable for: All

This workshop is for students who have already completed the EndNote: An Introduction to Managing Your References online tutorial, or who already have significant experience of using EndNote. The workshop focuses primarily on the desktop version of EndNote as opposed to the web-based version. It is also tailored for users of the Windows EndNote program rather than the Mac program. You will learn further EndNote features including:

* using term lists to improve the consistency of your references

* modifying output styles – the basics

* creating footnotes instead of endnotes

* modifying citations to include additional information such as page numbers and cross references

The workshop will also offer a troubleshooting session to answer your specific queries. To ensure the trainers are appropriately prepared, you will be contacted and asked to supply your questions in advance of the workshop.

Prerequisite: Completion of the ‘EndNote: an Introduction to Managing Your References’ online tutorial or familiarity with the functions described in that tutorial’s description. See the ‘Manage, cite and reference’ pages on the Intranet for further details on EndNote software or ask in any library for information.
