PGR Festival – Day 3: Wellbeing & Resilience – Sleep Workshop
Domain: B2 Self-management

TACE: C - Completion

Format: Workshop
Suitable for: All

This workshop will help you to understand the processes that control your sleep-wake cycle and increase your awareness of how your sleep-wake cycle is influenced by your thoughts, behaviours and environment. You will also learn about individual differences in sleep traits such as whether you are an evening or a morning person. Everyone experiences difficulty falling asleep from time to time, but for some people this can become a recurring pattern. We will provide you with techniques to improve your sleep and techniques to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours that contribute to insomnia.

By the end of the workshop you will:

* understand the processes governing the sleep-wake cycle
* discover whether you are a morning or an evening person
* increase your awareness and understanding of what triggers and maintains insomnia
* learn techniques to improve your sleep and to overcome insomnia
