Preparing for Leadership
Domain: B1 Personal qualities

TACE: A - Acquisition

Format: Pre-session preparation, interactive workshops, reflection
Suitable for: All

Research students have already taken a step ahead of the field to follow through a mission to extend the body of knowledge in their field; it takes personal leadership qualities to see this through to completion. For some, this sets the foundation for leadership roles in future careers, within or beyond academia.
This short programme will support you in developing insight and skills which lay the foundations for future leadership development. Running over two and half days over a xxx period, it will include: preparatory self-assessment, experiential activities, case studies, group work and structured reflection. You will learn to:

* Understand your personal team and leadership style
* Improve confidence and influence in communication with others
* Develop creative problem-solving skills

This is a certificate programme and so you must be available to attend all three sessions. On completion, you will be awarded a Certificate in Personal Development, which will be recorded on your student achievement record.
