Due to Covid-19 Mock Viva (Humanities and Social Sciences) will run as a webinar.

This session is intended for postgraduate researchers in all areas of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences who anticipate examination within the next 12 months or so. It will outline the viva process at Cardiff University and is designed to help and support you. The content of the session will include part presentation followed by Q&A. In particular, it will cover:

* the purposes of the PhD viva, and the typical format
* the roles of Chair, Internal Examiner, External Examiner, and Supervisor
* the types of question that are likely be asked and how to prepare yourself
* what happens before and after a viva
* viva outcomes
* tips on how to prepare for an online viva

Please submit any viva-related questions you may have via this form by 25 May 2020, midnight. The presenter will aim to answer your questions during the webinar. Joining instructions will be sent closer to the session date.
