Ruth Dawson, Wales editor from The Conversation, will introduce how to write a story for The Conversation website in order to bring your expert research knowledge to the general public. This session will guide you on where to find stories, how to find the right angle, writing a pitch and writing in a journalistic style. Prerequisite: You will be sent a worksheet to complete prior to attending the workshop.

A second optional session, open only to students who attend ‘The Conversation: writing your research for the public’, will focus on getting you started on writing for The Conversation – this session is scheduled on 18 February, 10:00 – 11:30.
