Presentation Club: Presentation Skills Practice
Domain: D2 Communication and dissemination

Practice makes perfect, so the University Graduate College will be hosting a regular lunchtime session for those students who wish to have the opportunity to improve their presentation skills.

Designed as a practical supplement session to the more theoretical ‘Introduction to Presentation Skills’, students are able to attend and rehearse a pre-prepared 5 minute presentation and then receive feedback from staff and peers.

Anyone who feels they would benefit from direct advice on their presentation is welcome to attend. Attendance on the ‘Introduction to Presentation Skills’ is not a pre-requisite, although most students would find this helpful.

Sessions are informal. Tea/Coffee is provided on the day - just bring you own lunch.

There are six guaranteed presenting slots, each allowing time for a 5 minute presentation, then discussion and feedback. If you wish to attend and give a presentation yourself, click here

If you do not wish to present yourself but simply to watch and join in the discussions, you can attend as an observer. To book as an observer click here

Please Note that the Presentation Club is about offering feedback and advice to other students on their presentations, so expect to stay for the duration of the whole session.

A ‘Connections Community’ is also available to join, giving presentation tips and advice and allowing exchange of information through an on-line forum.
