A personal statement is generally the first thing included in your CV, and many employers will also ask for one as part of an application form. Yet writing a personal statement can be tough and time consuming. In this session, you will investigate what employers are looking for in a personal statement and how you can use one to stand apart from the competition.

By the end of the session, you will have:
* considered evidence of your skills, knowledge and experience and how you can match these to employers’ selection criteria
* identified what constitutes good practice in completing a personal statement
